The domain bit.ly is blocked on all US military networks, meaning millions of active duty and other workers cannot see any of these.
I do this on the train. I don't think I judge people, but I do tend to 'feel' what they are feeling: happy, worried, angry, tired....It can change my mood, at least for a minute or so.
ACIM (a course in miracles) presents it the same (exercise) lesson, and training our mind to be this way, as Tolle’ gave excellent examples, I say, yes. It is a fabulous way to be. And it is fun, again, without the ego engaged.
Great Meditation practice 😀 The only thing I want to say is that judgement will come when you are practicing it , so observe the judgement as well, smile and start again 😀...as you might be doing during your sitting meditation, when mind takes you away, then you smile and come back to breath or/and sensations of the body ☺
I extend this practice to myself- just noticing without needing to be different. When I give this to myself or other people it feels like a huge relief!
Wouldn't you say that you have lost your state of consciousness when you became fixed in monetary gain? You wrote about the loss of one self in the search for material things, yet, you focused on making millions, not because you want to use such position to change the world in a positive way, but your own monetary gain. To have more than one needs, as you have written about, is to loose sight of the NOW and the essence of being. It seems hypocritical
I do it a lot, sad to say, I don't like what I see most of time. Babies and small children are an exception. A lot of darkness out there.
I love to people watch but usually do so with all kinds of thoughts attached. I also watch and observe my preschool students but mostly it is for the purpose of looking at behavior and development. A few times I've simply just watched them at play and it is magical. I will try this with adult strangers.
Used to do this back in high school before there was all kinds of security everywhere in the middle to late 60's. We see Hara Krishna's military, young, old, rich, poor, all race, creed and color.
Love to people watch. This brings on a whole new idea of people watching, which Ive never done before
